Calgary Flames 2 Winnipeg Jets 7
In the opener the League Leaders Winnipeg Jets defeated the Calgary Flames who currently in 7th place, Shane Matchett and Jeremy Estey scored two goals each for the Winnipeg Jets, with Ryan Good, Damon Smith and Matt Benson adding a goal each. Robbie Bailey and JM Tremblay scored a goal each for the Calgary Flames.
Ottawa Senators 2 Toronto Maple Leafs 6
In the nightcap 6th place Toronto Maple Leafs defeated 3rd place Ottawa Senators 6 – 2, Christopher Merritt and Warren Miller both found the back of the net twice each, while Jordan Gunter and Brian White added a goal each. Cameron Poland and Ed Sweeney scored a goal each for the Ottawa Senators.
