Maha Clarke and her Queens University of Charlotte Field Hockey teammates tested its strength against No. 9 Limestone College falling 11 - 4 to the No. 9 team in the country.
After building a 5-1 lead at the break, Limestone extended their lead to six in the 38th on a goal from Kate Remley. Three straight goals from Queens soon followed from Sta'sha Waterfield, Renee Smith, and Jill Sherman making the score 6-3 in the 44th. However, Sherman's goal would be the final of the day for the home team as Limestone closed with five unanswered points to take the seven-point victory.
Queens were outshot 25-12, putting 10 shots on goal to Limestone's 16. Smith led Queens with two goals after totaling three shots on goal. Miranda Childers recorded five saves in the cage.
Kelly Diplock led Limestone with four goals while Lauren Pelkey added three goals. Tabria Cochran totaled six saves.
