In a rematch of yesterday´s game, which Lebanon won 6-1, this match stayed scoreless until Bermuda opened the scoring late in the first period with a goal off the stick of Jeremy Estey. However, they still had a four-goal deficit to overcome. When Lebanon scored three goals in a row in the third period, they essentially put it away. Lebanon won the game 3-2, with Bermuda getting another goal from Ronnie Dzurus, Lebanon would win 9-3 on aggregate, to claim 17th place.
Bermuda captain Christopher Coleman said, “We are really disappointed. Before the tournament we had much higher expectation for results. We had good start of the championship with two wins in first two games. Even in the third we played not enough well to win and other matches we lost due to not scoring goals. I give a lot of credit to Lebanon, they played great games last few matches and deserves the wins. Now we only look for coming back in two years time and hopefully, we will be better team.”
