IslandStats.com
Maha Clarke and her Queens University of Charlotte Field Hockey teammates added to their opening day success, with another win over Belmont Abbey College.

Queens University of Charlotte outscored Belmont Abbey College 1-0, to take their record for the year to 2-0. Belmont Abbey falls to 0-2 on the season.

The game started off in an end to end manner, with both teams pushing forward in search of the opening goal. In the 19th minute, Hanna Nechay would break the dead lock with a smart give and go with Meghan Smiga to put Queens University of Charlotte in front. The goal takes Nechay to two goals for the year, while Smiga records her first assist of the season.

The second half would be a more cagey affair, with a goal being disallowed for each team. However, the Queens University of Charlotte managed to remain composed and see the game out to record their second win of the year.

Queens University of Charlotte totaled 15 shots in the game, putting seven on goal, while Belmont Abbey College totaled 11 shots with six of those being on frame. Miranda Childers recorded six saves for the day, along with Anna Fleetwood of Belmont Abbey College who also recorded six saves.
