Queens University of Charlotte Head Field Hockey Coach Brandi Kist announced the addition of three new student-athletes to her program. Abby Carls, Meghan Smiga and Bermuda’s Maha Clarke will join their teammates this coming fall. Clarke who joins the Class of 2020 was a member of the Bermuda Under 21 Field Hockey Team, spending most of her time as a midfielder and defender. She is also captain of the Longtails Field Hockey Club Team helping her team finish third in the Bermuda Women's Field Hockey League. Additionally, Clarke competed in Track and Field, Cross Country, Basketball and Badminton. "Clarke is a dangerous attacker with great speed and skill best showcased in the circle," Kist commented. "Her tenacious drive to score will add a spark in our forward line. A motivated player with a team first focus we are looking forward to her contributions." Carls, Smiga and Clarke will join seven other newcomers in the fall as the Royals officially begin NCAA Division II Field Hockey competition, which gets underway on September 4th.
