Renegades lifted the Nicholl Shield at the National Sports Center with a 34 – 13 win over the Police. The Renegades got Try’s from Callum Maule, Tom Healy, Jahan Cedenio and Pete Dunkerly, while Brian Archibold kicked 4 Conversions including an impressive kick from the touch line into the wind in the first half. Archibold also kicked 2 Penalty’s.
The Police got a try from Rudeolf van der Westhuizen and Mike Halbert, while Mike Kane kicked a Penalty.

The Mariners Ladies defeated the Police Ladies 3 - 2 thanks to an Extra-Time Try from Gina Newson.
Police took the lead through Karen Coetzee, before Deneika Borden leveled the game at 1-1 with a Try for the Mariners.
Jo Godfrey's 50m sprint gave Police the lead again, but Borden broke the Police defensive line and put Shara Crunden over for a Try to send the game into Sudden-Death Extra-Time.
Newson glided through a gap to score the match winning Try and handed Mariners the Scully Cup.
