World Tens Permitted to Allow 350 Fans Per Day

www.islandstats.com can confirm that the World Tens Series Rugby Tournament scheduled for the National Sports Center will be permitted to allow up to 350 spectators per day during the event.

Previously announced as a no spectator event, organizers have been granted permission from the Minister of National Security Renee Ming under the Large Group Exemption Public Health (COVID-19 Emergency Powers) Regulations 2020.

Large Group Exemption: World Tens Series Rugby Matches


Whereas the Minister of National Security considers that the proposed World Tens Series Rugby Matches is justifying an exemption from the prohibition in regulation 4 (1) and (2) of the Public Health (COVID-19 Emergency Powers) Regulations 2020 on groups of more than seventy-five persons assembling;

Now therefore, the Minister grants an exemption under regulation 4 (4) of those Regulations permitting a group of more than seventy-five persons to assemble on the below match dates and times of the World Tens Series Match Day Schedule the National Sports Center North Field with the following conditions:

Match Days:

Saturday - October 24th – 9:30 am to 7:30 pm

Sunday - October 25th – 9:30 am to 7:30 pm

Saturday - October 31st – 9:30 am to 7:30 pm

Sunday - November 1st – 9:30 am to 7:30 pm

Saturday - November 7th – 9:30 am to 7:30 pm

Conditions:

All persons at the event must wear a face mask and maintain appropriate physical distancing at all times. (This will not apply to players and officials during the playing of a match)

Maximum number of spectators permitted to attend – 350 per match day.

Saturday - October 24th – 9:30 am to 7:30 pm

Sunday - October 25th – 9:30 am to 7:30 pm

Saturday - October 31st – 9:30 am to 7:30 pm

Sunday - November 1st – 9:30 am to 7:30 pm

Saturday - November 7th – 9:30 am to 7:30 pm

The exemption shall apply to World Tens Series staff, TV Broadcasting staff, Security Firm personnel, and catering staff.

World Tens Series to record names and contact details of spectators for purpose of contact tracing. Information to be retained for a period of 28 days post-date of each match day.

Wearing of masks required at all times save for the consumption of food and drinks.

Security required to be on duty at each match. Ratio of security to be 1 officer per 75 spectators.

Establishment of an isolation room/tent for use by a person becoming ill at the event.

Adherence to all relevant COVID 19 Health Guidelines as published by the Ministry of Health.

The Ministry of National Security reserves the right to withdraw the permission to have more than seventy-five persons assembled at the event without notice to the organizer or cost to the Bermuda Government subject to the status of COVID 19 in the local community.

The Bermuda Police Service and/or the Ministry of National Security Officials have the right to attend and observe for compliance with the conditions as set by the Minister.
