At the half of this Plate Semi-Final Canada and France are deadlocked at 5-5. Yam nick Lafforgue went over to give France the lead, but a strong run from John Moonlight leveled the game. Canada have missed two Penalty attempts and a Conversion.
The second half saw much of the same of missed chances, but it was France scoring an all important Penalty to win 8-5. Lafforgue kicked the points that saw France advance to the Plate Final.

Italy 10 Argentina 16
At the half of this game the defending champions Argentina lead 5-3. Italy took the lead when Ramiro Pez kicked a Penalty, but Argentina would get a Try from Roman Miralles to take the 5-3 lead.
The second half of this game came to life in the final five minutes, two Penalties from Gonzalo Gutierrez and a Try from Agustin Lopez gave Argentina a 16-3 lead, but a block and Try from Giacometti Rigonelli and a Conversio from Pez pulled them within six but time expired.
