The Bermuda Rugby Football Unions’ League season resumed at the National Sports Center.
The Renegades were the only club on the day to get a double victory, with their Ladies team winning by 9 and their Men’s team won by 19.
Ladies Division
Renegades 19 Teachers 10
The Renegades got off to a flying start defeating the Teachers 19 – 10, the Renegade got single Try’s from Maeve Dillon, Amy Harvey, Melissa Field and Laura Mulligan, while Mulligan added 2 Conversions. Emily Sinclair and Najaee Pitt-Clarke scored a Try each for the Teachers.
Police 5 Mariners 10
In the second game the Police went down 10 – 5 to the Mariners, the Mariners got a Try from Karley Alleyne and Niyah Heiligher, while the lone Police Try came from Meegan Jackson.
Men’s Division:
Renegades 31 Teachers 12
The Renegades – Teachers match would keep the referee busy with off the ball incidents needing his attention on several occasions, but in the end the Renegades would defeat the Teachers 31 – 12.
The Renegades got 3 Try’s from Jamie Baum, while Robin Bricknell and Sam Waters added a Try each, Charles Craigs would connect on 3 Conversions. The Teachers Try’s would come from Tom Hart and Aldo Cambell, with the Conversion coming off the boot of Conner McGowen.
Mariners 5 Police 50 - Marsden Memorial
The Police won the Marsden Memorial match defeating the Mariners 50 – 5.
Michael Halbert and Stephan Schmitt scored 2 Try’s each for the Police, with Danny Walker, Chiquan Smith, Nigel Walker and Joe Oosthuizen all added a Try each, with Riaan Engelbrechd kicking 5 Conversions. The Mariners lone Try came from Dave Rourke.
