Marsh and Guy Carpenter’s donated the sum of $5,000.00 to the Bermuda Rugby Football Union.
The $5,000.00 donation will be used to help subsidize travel costs for members of the island’s National Rugby Sevens teams. The teams will participate in the annual Rugby Americas North (RAN) Sevens Tournament on November 25th and 26th in Mexico City.
This will be Bermuda first international competition since Bermuda was force to withdraw from their Rugby Americas North International match.
Bermuda was due to play an international match on Saturday June 17th against the USA South Panthers.
When www.islandstats.com questioned the Bermuda Rugby Football Union President Sean Field-Lament he stated, “Due to Injuries and players not able to get away from the America’s Cup we have had to forfeit the game.”
The Bermuda Men’s team are in the Men’s Pool B alongside Jamaica and Dominican Republic, while the Bermuda Women’s team are in a Round Robin Format alongside Mexico, Jamaica, Dominican Republic, Guyana, Trinidad & Tobago and French Guyana.
