Local men’s and women’s rugby teams will be vying for honors at 3rd annual Mad Hatters Tournament to be held at North Field on Saturday 30th September. The Mad Hatter tournament will mark the start of the new season and 2016 season champions Renegades will be looking to hold on to the Men’s and Women’s title for the second year in a row.
Police rugby club will be looking to give Men’s league champions Renegades some tough competition whilst Mariners and Teachers will be looking to end the silverware drought for their respective clubs and clinch the first silverware of the season.
Bermuda Rugby Football President, Sean Field-Lament said “The Mad Hatters tournament really is family friendly event and encompasses everything that rugby stands for. Whether you’re looking for something to do or want to find out more about the sport we encourage everyone to come down for the afternoon and watch the men and women’s games for free. Thanks to Mad Hatters for their ongoing support.”
In the women’s competition, Renegades will be looking to hold on to that trophy as well whilst the Mariner’s ladies will be looking to provide some competition after narrowly failing to win the trophy last year.
