Bermuda Triathletes Compete in Ottawa

Bermuda Triathletes were back in action as the Canadian National Triathlon Championships continued.

During the Draft Legal Sprint Championships, Karen Smith finished 59th overall and won the Female 45-49 Age Group finishing 8th overall amongst the women clocking a time of 1:13.05.

Competing in the Men's 50 - 54 Age Group Dirk Hasselkuss was 11th in the Division and 154th overall, he clocked a time of 1:25.59, Thomas Hands was 12th in the Age Group and 160th overall after stopping the clock in a time of 1:27.03 and Otis Ingham clocked a time of 1:34.26 finishing 13th in the Division and 180th overall.

Jasmin Hasselkuss and Blake Oliviera led the way during the Kids of Steel Triathlons.

Hasselkuss finished in 2nd place, recording the same time as the winner Liliane Quevillon in a photo sprint finish during the Girls Under 11 both stopped the clock in 22.28.5, and Oliviera also finished in 2nd during the Boys Under 11 race, Oliviera clocked a time of 22.36, finishing behind Laurent Tetreault who clocked 20.45.

In the Under 13 race Amber Simons finished in 7th place amongst the Girls and 18th overall, she clocked a time of 37.01. Zoe Hasselkuss was 27th overall and the 13th Girls in the Division with a time of 38.12, Lianne Medeiros was 18th in the Division and 33rd overall with a time of 39.15. Megan Hands crossed the line as the 23rd Female finisher in the Division and 39th overall with a time of 42.51 and Lindsay Smith completed the swim and bike but did not finish the run.
