Tyler Smith had a break through race during the 2018 Gran Canaria ETU Sprint Triathlon European Cup in Spain.
Competing in the 70 competitor Elite Men’s Field, Smith finished a strong 18th clocking a time of 57:12.
Barclay Izzard from Great Britain clocked a winning time of 56:03, Rostislav Pevtsov from the Republic of Azerbaijan was second in 56:12 and Antonio Serrat Seoane from Spain was third in 56:14.
Smith had a very impressive Swim clocking a time of 9:19, he would clock 30:05 on the Bike Course, Smith was with the front pack on the Bike and was out of the 2nd transition among the leaders. Smith would then clock 15:39 on the Run Course.
