Hawley Talks School Triathlon & More

Back home for a short break Erica Hawley took sometime out to talk about her year 2016 and the years ahead.

Hawley in 2016 qualified for the World Championships after finishing 19th in the 2016 West Des Moines CAMTRI Triathlon Under 23 and Junior American Championships.

Hawley also competed in the 2016 ITU World Triathlon Grand Final in Cozumel.

In the Women’s Junior race Hawley finished 46th with an overall 1:05.40, the Defending Champion Taylor Knibb from the USA won the race with a time of 59:05.

Hawley competing in her first USA Triathlon Draft Legal Collegiate Mountain Region Sprint Triathlon just outside Boulder as a University student emerged victorious.

Hawley a student at the University of Boulder also helped them win the overall team trophy as well. Hawley the first female finisher finished 8th overall with a time of 1:06.25.

Hawley stormed to victory at the Pumpkinman 2016 Triathlon, on Nevada's Toughest Triathlon Bike Course.

Hawley competing in the Collegiate Olympic Female 19 and Under Age Group crossed the line first stopping the clock in a time of 2:39.13, finishing more that six minutes ahead of the second place finisher in the Division Katherine Emanuel.
