Bermuda’s Patty Petty has been selected as an ITU International Technical Official for the Rio de Janeiro 2016 Olympic Games.
The 2016 Rio Olympic Games will mark Petty’s third appearance as an ITU Technical Official, but it would be her fourth times at the games as an Official. Her first games was 2004 Athens, Greece– Triathlon Team Manager for Bermuda / Athlete Tyler Butterfield, in 2008 Beijing, China she was an ITU Technical Official, she was also a ITU Technical Official for the 2012 London, England Games.
Petty was the 2010 Singapore Youth Olympic Games Chef de Mission for Bermuda, she has attended 3 Commonwealth Games events in different capacities. Petty in 2002 Manchester, England, Petty was the Triathlon Team Manager for Bermuda /Athletes Tyler Butterfield, Kent Richardson and Karen Smith, in 2006 Melbourne, Australia – ITU Technical Official and in 2014 Glasgow, Scotland – ITU Technical Official.
In 2007 Rio, Brazil, Petty was the Triathlon Team Manager for Bermuda / Athlete Flora Duffy at the Pan American Games, in 2011 Guadalajara/Puerta Vallarta, Mexico she was an ITU Technical Official and again in 2015 Toronto, Canada she was an ITU Technical Official.
Petty has 23 World Championships experiences under her belt, 15 World Championships as the Team Manager, 6 World Championships as an ITU Technical Official, 1 World Championship as an ITU Assistance Technical Delegate and 1 World Championships (Duathlon) as the Technical Delegate.
