The guest list of Gwadlouptri - GP County Council is complete. The Bermudian triathlete Tyler Butterfield and Columbia Leanda Cave will be the poster for the fifth edition heads.
Three athletes have been on the top 10 Ironman Hawaii will celebrate March 5th at St. Francis. Besides French Romain Guillaume, the defending champion, the beautiful surprise of this fifth edition will Bermuda. Tyler Butterfield, former professional cyclist who had notably won a stage on the Tour de Guadeloupe in 2006, is currently one of the top 5 global long distance. He finished fifth in the 2015 Ironman Hawaii.
Many metropolis athletes have decided to start their season in Guadeloupe. Yann Payen, seventh last year and finisher in Hawaii will be the ones. Guadeloupeans Olivier Noglotte (double champion of Guadeloupe in 2015), Cedric Dardenne and Sylvain Pigeau (France Champion Duathlon LD in its category) will be at the start with high ambitions as Nadia Philippon (double champion Guadeloupe) and Christel Martinez participating World Championships Half Ironman last year in Austria.
The Martinique is very well also represented with Benoit Fourmont, finisher in Hawaii in 2012, Francky Favre (finisher in Hawaii in 2015 and winner of the Holy Cross in category)) and Mathilde Batailler, multiple champion of Martinique and vice champion of France long distance in its class women. She will be accompanied by Majorie Talec initially specialist running and consistently placed in the top 3 for the regional circuit.
