Neil de ste Croix Reflects on XTerra World Championships

As www.islandstats.com reported yesterday three Bermuda Triathletes competed in the XTerra World Championships 2015 in Maui.
Neil de ste Croix was one of them and he reflects on his experience in this way.
“Quite honestly it was totally brutal………….. It was a crazy Swim with all Age Group Men and all Age Group Women in just two waves………..was like a boxing match for 1500m……..
The Bike was good as it dried out (Wednesday it was a mud bath……….) but you cannot train in Bermuda for this race as the climbs are huge and go on forever, I Stayed upright!
The Run was 3 miles up and 3.5 down in a nutshell – I fell twice on the run skinning my knees……………
Soo hot it was crazy………………………………
Now I understand why the finish medal says “Xterra Survivor”!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!”
