Bermuda’s Tyler Butterfield will take to the start line for the 2015 Ironman World Championship. Butterfield will rub shoulders with some of the strongest Elite Men in the Sport.
Butterfield announced his international prominence to the longer version of the Sport with a 3rd place finish at Abu Dhabi in 2013, he has been a contender in major events since then.
Butterfield also finished 2nd at Ironman 70.3’s in Muncie and Calgary in 2013, increasing his status as a challenger. Butterfield finished 7th at Kona and placed 2nd at Ironman Cozumel.
In 2014 he continued his rise in the Sport with a win at Abu Dhabi and a strong 3rd at Ironman France on the tough course at Nice, closing with a Kona-promising 2:49:39 run finishing seven minutes behind Bart Aernouts of Belgium.
Butterfield will be looking for a strong finish to end the Championships on a high.
