While husband Tyler Butterfield is heading to Kona, for the Ironman 70.3 World Championships, wife Nikki Butterfield has finished third in the Ironman 70.3 Silverman Event in Nevada.
Getting the juices flowing again for competition, Nikki Butterfield had an outstanding performance when she clocked a time of 4:37:14, crossing the line 28th overall.
Butterfield clocked 33:16 during the 1.2 Mile Swim coming out of the water as the 20th Elite Female, her 2:32:19 on the 56 Mile Bike Course saw her move up to sixth place and then she clocked 1:28:35 on the 13.1 Mile Run Course moving up three more places to 3rd.
American Lauren Goss was the winner clocking a time of 4:31:46, fellow country woman Heather Lendway was second with a time of 4:36:09.
