It seems as though trips to race at Ironman and Ironman 70.3 races continue to be popular.
Four Bermuda based Triathletes competed in the Syracuse, USA Ironman 70.3 Triathlon.
Matt Thompson led the way with a very strong sub 5 hour performance. Thompson covered the 1.2 Mile Swim in 29.47, the Bike Course distance of 56 Miles in 2.31.10 and closed out the 13.1 Miles Run in 1.43.04, clocking and Overall time of 4.49.18. He finished 6th in Men’s 45-49 Age Group.
Geoff Smith clocked 30.45 on the Swim, 2.40.13 on the Bike and 1.49.54 on the Run for an Overall time of 5.15.34 finishing 34th in Men’s 45-49 Age Group.
Chris Eaton clocked an Overall time of 5.24.02 finishing 47th in Men’s 45-49 Age Group and Brian Lynch crossed the line in an Overall time of 6.12.25.
