A number of Bermuda Triathlon Association members competed in the recently concluded Miami 70.3.
Competitors competed in a 1.2 mile Swim, 56 mile Bike ride and 13.1 Run.
Four competed in the Men’s 35-39 Age Group Category, Karl Wilson was 58th clocking a time of 5:02:45, Wilson came out of the water with a time of 33:27, he then clocked 2:38:09 on the Bike Course before closing out with a time of 1:46:39 on the Run course, Clive Langley finished 90th with a time of 5:16:06, Langley clocked 39:42 on the Swim, 2:35:32 on the Bike and 1:55:52 on the Run Course.
With a time of 6:09:16, Dave Soutter finished 249th, Soutter clocked a time of 1:00:34 second on the Swim, 3:01:25 on the Bike Course and then recorded a time of 1:59:41 on the Run Course and Joel Matthews finished 307th clocking 6:31:09. Matthews was out of the water in a time of 53:05, he then clocked 3:28:02 on the Bike Course and closed out with a time of 2:03:33 on the Run Course.
Jonathan Betts finished 81st competing in the Men’s 40-44 Age Group Category with a time of 5:32:44, Betts clocked 44:35 on the Swim, 2:41:35 on the Bike and 2:01:46 on the Run, while Lesley Jane Smith finished 49th in Women’s 35-39 Age Group Category clocking 6:52:57. Smith clocked 43:25 on the Swim, 3:13:54 on the Bike and2:46:20 on the Run.
Melissa Logie finished 36th Women’s 30-34 Age Group Category, this after recording a Swim time of 53:27, she clocked 3:13:26 on the Bike Course and then closed out with a time of 2:05:25 on the Run Course for an overall time of 6:20:11 and Liz Stewart finished 76th in Women’s 40-44 Age Group Category with a time of 7:00:10. Stewart clocked 49:57 on the Swim, she then clocked 3:37:41 on the Bike Course and she completed the Run Course in a time of 2:22:41.
