The 2014 XTERRA World Champion is Flora Duffy of Bermuda, Duffy came into the event as one of the favorites in in Maui, Hawaii and did not disappoint.
Duffy clocked 2:47:49, Barbara Riveros finished second in 2:50:04 and the defending champ Nicky Samuels finished third clocking 2:56:31.
Duffy became the first elite athlete from Bermuda to win a World Title in the off Road Championship, Duffy finished 27th overall, she clocked 20:22 on the Swim, she then recorded a time of 1:41:41 on the Bike Course before closing out with a time of 42:55 on the Run Course.
Kent Richardson finished 331st overall, he clocked a time of 3:40:21 which put him 8th in the Men’s 55 – 59 Age Group Division and Julia Hawley finished 427th overall and she was 4th in the Women’s 50 – 54 Age Group category after crossing the line in a time of 3:57:42.
