Richardson said, “It was a great race course for the bike. It was not so technical but it was still hard. The run was almost a 10 miler with very, very steep hills. I had a great swim and after bike was entering transition 5 or 6 place overall but lost places on the run, but very happy all in all.”
Hawley said, “I had a great race and managed to get a Maui world championship spot!! I was 2nd female overall going in to run but I knew my run was not where it should be as I have been injured since Hawaii last year and not done any racing or run training until now! It was an Xterra with a very long and hard run. Bit of a cold start to the day and it was a rough swim.”
