Tyler Butterfield has finished 2nd in the Ironman Cozumel clocking a time of 8:02:42. Butterfield finished behind winner Michael Weiss who clocked a time of 7:55:23.
Butterfield clocked a time of 34:12 during the Swim that covered a distance of 2.4miles or 3.8km, Butterfield came out of the Water in a pack just behind the leader, he was the fastest out of transition and briefly led.
Butterfield then covered the Bike Course of 112miles or 180km in a time of 4:35:14, Butterfield would move up and down the leaderboard as he was leading the chasing pack.
Butterfield would make his move on the Run Course that covered 26.2miles or 42.2km where he closed in on the leader and opened a lead on the third place finisher Eneko Llanos, Butterfield clocked 2:49:48.
