The Bermuda Triathlon Association held their Prize Presentation at the Hamilton Amateur Dinghy Club with guest speaker Bevan Docherty, a two time triathlon Olympic medalist and world champion, as well as Bermuda’s Tyler Butterfield both in attendance.

In 2004, Docherty won the ITU world championship, and the silver medal at the 2004 Summer Olympics in Athens, behind fellow New Zealander Hamish Carter. He added another silver medal at the 2006 Commonwealth Games, and claimed the bronze at the 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing.

Butterfield was the youngest male competitor at the second Olympic triathlon at the 2004 Summer Olympics. He placed thirty-fifth with a total time of 1:58:26.99.

Meanwhile, awards for the 2013 Triathlon Season were handed out with President Jennifer Gunn announcing Johnathan Herring and Laurie Orchard as the Male and Female triathletes of the Year.

Rebecca Harrison was announced as the Junior Female Triathlete of the Year, while Tyler Smith claimed the Junior Male Triathlete of the Year title.

Natalie Luthi took home the Best New Female Triathlete of the Year and Winter Olympian Tucker Murphy claiming the Male honors.

The Most Improved Female Triathlete honors went to Heather Cooper, while Mark Robinson won the Most Improved Male Triathlete of the Year.
