Due to the forecasted rain and gale force winds expected on Sunday morning the decision has been taken to postpone this Sunday’s Bank of Bermuda Foundation Triathlon. For the safety and enjoyment of the athletes organizers felt this was the right thing to do.
The army of personnel needing to be mobilized for such an event is considerable (volunteers, police and caterers for example) and requires that a decision needed to be made in advance. This is never easy as the weather is so unpredictable – but based on the best information we have today, Sunday looks to be a day for a good book.
There will therefore be no number pickup this evening.
Apologies to all involved, and a huge thank you those who had generously volunteered their time on Sunday morning. Thanks in particular to the race committee who have already dedicated hours to the race.
Organizers are actively working on a new date, and will inform you as soon this has been this finalized.
