As a result of her finish Hawley has qualified for the Ironman World Championships in Kona, Hawaii on October 12th!!
Hawley competed on a hilly course in Bolton which had a bit of everything in the race with rain in the morning before the Swim start, sunshine but wind on the Bike and then torrential rain later on the Run Course.
Hawley led the Age Group Division until the last 7 miles of the run when she was overtaken by the speedy Jo Gundle who ran a 3:49:15 Marathon to claim first place in the Age Group.
Hawley clocked 1:07:23 on the Swim, before clocking 6:19:48 on the 112-mile, three-loop journey Bike Course and then she ran the Run Course in a time of 4:06:15.
Hawley was the 21st Women to cross the line and she finished 260th overall out of 1,602 finishers.
