Tyler Butterfield has finished 2nd in the IRONMAN 70.3 Muncie in Indiana. Competing in the Men’s Elite Division, Butterfield clocked an overall time of 3:49:22, Butterfield finished behind Andrew Starykowicz from the United States of America who finished in a time of 3:46:25.
Butterfield completed the 1.2-mile swim in the calm waters of Prairie Creek Reservoir in a time of 25:12, Butterfield was 5th out of the water.
Butterfield then clocked a time of 2:06:13, covering the 56-mile Bike Course which took athletes onto closed state highways for a flat ride through rural Indiana with the 3rd fastest time moving up to second place.
Butterfield then ran the fastest 13.1 Mile Run in a time of 1:14:16, that covered a challenging run course around the south side of Prairie Creek Reservoir over rolling country roads.
Ironically Butterfield ran faster today after completing a Swim and a Bike Ride then he did running the Bermuda Day Half Marathon Derby where he clocked a time of 1:15:03.
