Taylor Carrick continued competing in the Karakal Welsh Junior Squash Open 2018.
Carrick took to the court for his Quarter Final match against the tournament number one seed Gavin L'Estrange of Ireland.
Carrick defeated L'Estrange when they last met at the Italian Junior Open, but this time Carrick was defeated by L'Estrange 3 - 1.
L'Estrange won the first game 11-4, he would win the second game 11-6, but Carrick would win a marathon third game 15-13, before L'Estrange won the fourth game 11-8.
Carrick would then play for placement falling in his first match to Andrew Glen from Scotland in a four game battle, 9-11, 11-9, 13-11, 13-11, Carrick would then face Ruadhri McDougall from Scotland and picked up the win in five games 4-11, 11-6 11-13 11-7 12-10, Carrick would go on to finish the tournament in 7th place.
