Micah Franklin has announced he has withdrawn from the Brazil Squash Open.
“I am afraid that because of complicated flight schedules, and less than full fitness levels has required me to withdraw from the 3rd Cerdil Squash Open 2012 in Dourados, Brazil.”
Franklin has taken part in two Professional Squash Tournament Events in South America, Franklin went down to 240th ranked Luke Butterworth from England in the Argentina Open in four sets, Franklin won the first set 11-5, before going down 11-6, 11-7, 11-9. Franklin then went down in the Paraguay Open, taking on Andre L’ Heureux who is ranked number two in Paraguay, Franklin lost 11-7,11-6,11-9.
Franklin went on to say, “I have returned to Toronto for some rest and recovery before I come back to Bermuda to play in the World Distributors Tire Charity 2012 Tournament.”
Franklin concluded, “I had a hugely eye opening and enjoyable experience in South America, now returning to Toronto and Bermuda with a new outlook on my game and more knowledge to help me improve.”
