Rachel Barnes and her Bowdoin College Women’s Squash teammates defeated Wesleyan in a home match at the Lubin Family Squash Center.
The Bowdoin Women, ranked 19th, coasted to an 8-1 win over the 20th-ranked Wesleyan Women.
Despite the final score, the Bowdoin Women had their hands full with Wesleyan, as they needed four players to go the distance in five sets. Bonnie Cao and Christiana Whitcomb had 3 - 0 wins for Bowdoin while Barnes and Alden Drake picked up 3-1 victories.
Monica Wlodarczyk, Elizabeth Schetman, Michaela Martin and Sara Wlodarczyk all earned hard-fought 3-2 wins to clinch the Bowdoin victory.
Barnes defeated Lauren Nelson 11-5, 4-11, 11-9, 18-16.
