James Stout is taking part in the Invitation Singles Tournament at The Queen's Club, Bridgeman Court in West Kensington, London. The Group Stage of the Singles Tournament lived up to expectations.
Stout's first match was against one of his closest challengers, Will Hopton, who was certainly ready to push Stout all the way. Although the World Champion Stout won in straight sets 15-7 16-14 15-7, Hopton came close to winning the second set before going down by two points.
Stout's second match was a little more straightforward - although James Beaumont certainly demonstrated why he won through the qualifiers, he proved to be not much trouble for Stout. Stout won in straight sets 15-8, 15-8, 15-2.
