Pitt’s Mauriq Hill has been named ACC Men’s Soccer Defensive Player of the Week.
A redshirt senior defender from Atlanta, Georgia, Hill played a crucial role on the back line in two wins for Pitt last week.
On Tuesday, the Panthers held Penn State to four shots on goal to pick up their first win over the Nittany Lions since 1978. In a 1-0 win at No. 7 Notre Dame on Friday, Pitt limited the Irish to three shots on goal for the first win over Notre Dame since 2002 and the first win over a top-10 opponent since 2000.
