Bermuda’s Women's Under 17 Team and staff headed out to Florida for a training tour, on Friday the Bermuda Football Association announced that the team while on tour will increase their intensity with focused training and two practice matches.

This tour also serves as preparation for the CONCACAF Women’s Under 17 Championships that will be held in Nicaragua in April where Bermuda will compete in Group B with the United States, Costa Rica, and Canada.

Meanwhile Tashun Simons’ concluded his two game and training experience in Jamaica.

Chairman of the Bermuda Football Association’s Referee Committee Crensten Williams is delighted for what the future for Simons and other holds.

Williams said, “First of all I have to say thank you to everyone for the well wishes in regards to this past few days. The support and love has been overwhelming and heartwarming.”

“To see the love and support brought tears to my eyes as never in my wildest dreams did I ever think something like this would happen,” continued Williams.

Williams went on to say, “To embark on a journey of excellence requires a plan, dedication, perseverance, and hard work. Big respect to Sir Grimes for your vision in all of this.”

Williams went on to say, “Larry Mussenden, David Sabir, Brian Hall, Dave Meikle, Rohan Thobourne, Livingston Bailey, Victor Stewart, Kelesha Antoine, Mark Wade, Ray Jones, Lyndon Raynor, Anthony Francis, Martin Wyer, Candy Williams , Vance Brown, Troy Lewis , Gideon Kigotho and the BFA Executive have all been instrumental in this journey.”

“I'm truly humbled today to know that Tashun Simons made history by representing Bermuda in the Red Stripe Premier League and it was televised on Sportsmax,” continued Williams.

“What can I say!!! Our young people are doing big things and we need to encourage them. To be in Tivoli Gardens and hear the fans shout "Referee Good Job", I can't express what that felt like,” continued Williams.

Williams concluded, “This is just the beginning and WE ARE ON A MISSION!!! Last but not least, HUGE THANKS to Marita Williams!!! From then until now.”
