Nathan Trott’s England Under 19 teammates qualified for the Euro Finals in style, defeating seven-time winners Spain 3-0 at St. George’s Park.
Following Wednesday’s win over Norway, the Young Lions got off to a flying start when Liverpool midfielder Trent Alexander-Arnold opened the scoring after just nine minutes.
Trott was not in the team for this game having sat out the first game as well.
It was a one-goal lead that Keith Downing’s side took into the break at St. George’s Park, but Alexander-Arnold doubled the lead from the spot just after the hour mark when Dujon Sterling was felled inside the box.
And Arsenal youngster Chris Willock sealed a notable win with just four minutes remaining.
England have qualified for the finals by virtue of having a better head-to-head record than both Norway and Spain, the only two nations that can catch them at the top of Group 3.
The Young Lions will complete their elite qualifying campaign against Belarus on Monday afternoon.
