Arnezha Astwood and his University of Nebraska Omaha Men’s Soccer teammates at the end of the intense 90-minute match against cross-town rivals, Creighton, the teams walked away with a 2 - 2 draw.
During the opening minutes of the second half, Nebraska Omaha would take the lead from the penalty spot. Theo Klein fired a shot past the goalkeeper to put the first goal on the board in the 51st minute.
One minute later it was 1 – 1, a Creighton player got a touch on the ball and put the ball just out of Nathanael Sallah's reach.
Creighton were awarded a corner kick in the 65th minute, they got another touch off the corner to take the lead 2 - 1.
Despite being down, Nebraska Omaha kept fighting. Astwood brought the ball through midfield and passed it off to Gonzalo Cuevas. Cuevas found Junior Casillas at the top right side of the box, where he ripped a shot to the bottom left corner of the goal. Casillas's goal equalized the match and secured a 2-2 draw.
