Ajani Burchall and his Aston Villa teammates suffered a heavy defeat at the hands of Crystal Palace in the Under-18 Premier League action.
Aston Villa trailed by a single goal at half-time, heading back to the changing rooms 2-1 down after Kobei Moore’s penalty reduced arrears following a brace from Eagles striker Victor Akinwale.
But the hosts ran away with the game in the second half, with Jadan Raymond, David Ozoh, and Ademola Ola-Adebomi scoring and Akinwale completing his hat-trick.
Burchall making his return from injury started the match on the bench and was introduced to the match in the 66th minute, however, the defeat leaves Aston Villa 11th in the table with five games left to play.
