Bermuda Youth, College & University Round-Up

Nia Christopher and her Towson University Women's Soccer teammates closed out the 2021 home season in style, scoring twice in the second half to earn a 2-1 victory over Drexel.

After a scoreless first half, Jenna Blank scored her first goal of the season in the 53rd minute for Towson. Following Drexel converting a penalty kick, Christopher scored in the 71st minute as Towson held for the win.

For the winner, Jasmine Hamid put a through ball to Christopher in the 71st minute. Christopher placed the ball inside the left post for the goal. Christopher had earlier assisted on the Towson opening goal.

Jai Bean returned from injury in a battle of two of the top teams in the ACC Coastal Division. Bean and his No. 18 Duke Men's Soccer teammates battled through two overtimes to a 1 - 1 draw with No. 20 Notre Dame.

Detre Bell and his University of Louisville Men's Soccer teammates finished off the home portion of its regular season schedule with a 2 - 1 victory over NC State at the Dr. Mark & Cindy Lynn Stadium.

Louisville improved to 9-2-0 on their home pitch this fall, one win shy of their single-season record for wins at Lynn Stadium with potential postseason games at home on the horizon.

Leilanni Nesbeth and her top-ranked Florida State Women’s Soccer teammates fell for the first time this season, 1 - 0 to No. 6 Duke.

Mia Justus recorded a career-high three saves on eight Duke shots but that was not enough as the Blue Devils took a 1 - 0 lead in the 27th minute on a goal from Tess Boade assisted by Emily Royson.

It marked just the third time in ACC play and the fourth time this season that Florida State trailed in a game this season.
