Bermuda Youth Footballers Round-Up

Sincere Hall and his Hull City Under-18 teammates started their Under 18 PDL Cup campaign against Crewe Alexandra in the Group stages!

It was not the start that Hall and his teammates were looking for as they suffered an 8 – 2 defeat in their opening fixture, with Billy Leach and Hall scoring for Hull City.

Zenawi Bowen & Stefan Simmons

Zenawi Bowen, Stefan Simmons, and their Thomas College Men’s Soccer teammates tasted defeat for the first time this season falling 2 – 1 to the University of Southern Maine.

Bowen gave Thomas College the lead scoring his 4th goal of the season in the 70th minute, but Zekariya Shaib equalized for Southern Maine in the 86th minute. The game went into extra time and Shaib would convert a penalty 7 minutes in to earn Southern Maine the win.

Detre Bell

Detre Bell and his University of Louisville Men's Soccer teammates found the back of the net just 27 seconds into the match and they were off to the races in a 4 - 0 victory over Northern Kentucky at Dr. Mark & Cindy Lynn Stadium.

The win was the third straight for Louisville, their first three-match winning streak since November 4th – 11th, 2018 when they won three straight on the way to winning the ACC Championship.

Arnezha Astwood

Arnezha Astwood and his University of Nebraska Omaha Men’s Soccer teammates picked up their second win of the season, with a 1 - 0 win over Midland.

Ed Port made it 1 - 0 in the 71st minute, Astwood sent a pass to the top of the box from some 40-yards, Port battled a Midland defender before sending a shot low to the right to beat the diving goalkeeper for the game-winner.
