Matthew Moreno, Vishan Patton, and their Alicante City Under 19 teammates started the season with a 3 – 2 victory over Mediterráneo.

An early goal from Mediterráneo gave the visitors a 6th-minute lead, H’mida Tayed equalized 10 minutes later slotting the ball into the bottom corner.

Patton scored on the stroke of halftime on his debut after using his pace to connect onto a through ball from Moreno and place it past the keeper.

A mistake on the 53rd minute allowed Mediterráneo through on goal to make it 2-2.

Captain Vicente Ballester Cerda scored on the hour after a strong run into the area to seal a 3-2 win.

LeiLanni Nesbeth

LeiLanni Nesbeth and her number one ranked Florida State Women’s Soccer teammates started ACC play at home with a 4 - 1 win over Boston College.

Nesbeth had two assists in the game, after a scoreless first half, Florida State saw success on consecutive corner kicks. Nesbeth placed the first one near post inducing a scramble when Emily Madril sent the ball into the back of the net. The second assist from Nesbeth was placed back post to Lauren Flynn who headed it into the back of the net with no contest.

Ne-Jai Tucker

Ne-Jai Tucker and his Burnley Under 23 teammates claimed their first victory of the Premier League 2 campaign with a 2-0 win away at Southampton.

Sam Unwin came off the bench to put Burnley in front with a header in first-half stoppage time, while Tucker curled in a free-kick with 15 minutes remaining to put the seal on a ‘Super Sunday’ at St Mary’s.

Mia Fishel

Mia Fishel and her Unbeaten UCLA Women's Soccer teammates recorded their eighth-straight victory and seventh-straight shutout with a 2-0 win at San Diego State.

Junior forward Fishel once again shined in her hometown, scoring the game-winner in the 10th minute. Fishel, who three days earlier scored both goals in a 2-0 win at San Diego, recorded her seventh goal of the year on a rebound after Brianne Riley's shot was blocked. Fishel collected the rebound in front of the goal and slotted it into the bottom left corner past Aztec goalkeeper Alexa Madueno. Riley was credited with the assist, her second of the season.

Nia Christopher

Nia Christopher and her Towson University Women's Soccer teammates earned its highest single-game goal total of the year in a 6-0 shutout victory at Delaware State to close out non-conference play.

Christopher earned her second multi-goal game of the season, netting two in the 11th and 58th minutes off eight total shots.
