Haile Eve and his Pfeiffer University Men's Soccer teammates snapped their six-match skid with a double-overtime win over Bob Jones at Alumni Stadium in Spartanburg, S.C. After battling to a scoreless first half, Pfeiffer got on the board first in the 63rd minute when Kyle Kamm knocked home a rebound off the Bruin goalkeeper to provide the 1-0 lead. The goal was setup after a corner kick made its way into the box, and after a shot was partially deflected to the BJU keeper, Kamm was there to tap it into the net for the Falcon 1-0 lead. In the waning minutes of regulation, BJU scored the equalizer in the 87th minute when Conley Burk scored on a deep cross from Jesse Rush. Burk was on the Falcon far post and snapped a shot past Pfeiffer goalkeeper David Chavarria. After ending tied at 1-1 in regulation and with neither team scoring in the first overtime session, Pfeiffer earned a throw in from the deep left corner in the 106th minute. Junior Caz Dabrowski took the throw and sailed it into the box and over the head of several BJU defenders. Jason Juarez Leyva took the throw and calmly deposited the ball into the net to claim the 2-1 win and effectively ending Pfeiffer's six-match losing skid. As a team, Pfeiffer fired 15 shots on the night with five being on goal. Bob Jones managed just six shots, three on goal. The win improves Pfeiffer to 2-6 overall while BJU drops to 1-7.
