Kane Crichlow and his Watford Under-23 teammates were jubilantly down the tunnel after leaving it real late to beat Sheffield United 2 – 1 in the Professional Development League.
Both teams came into the game on a high as Crichlow and his teammates defeated Hull City in their last outing 5 – 0 and Sheffield United were looking to build on last week's opening day win at Cardiff City.
But Watford traveled and inflicted the first home defeat for Sheffield United at the Chesterfield's Proact Stadium.
In a close fought game, Watford took the lead in the second half before a wave of Blades pressure resulted in Ompreon's equaliser, but the killer blow came in the 93rd minute when a Watford trialist tapped home at the back post.
