Bermuda Under 17 National Team 2 Jamaica Under 17 National Team 4
Following consecutive defeats, Bermuda’s Under-17 National Football team face a crucial encounter against Jamaica knowing they can't afford to lose their final group match at the CONCACAF Under-17 Championship at the IMG Academy in Bradenton, Florida.
Bermuda are pointless after suffering 1-0 and 5-0 defeats to rivals Trinidad & Tobago and Mexico, respectively, and need only a draw to advance to the next round. Going into the match Jamaica are also pointless after suffering 1-0 and 3-2 defeats to Mexico and Caribbean rivals Trinidad and Tobago.
Jamaica have started strongly and found themselves ahead after just 3 minutes as Revaldo Mitchell scored.
Rajay Wright would double the Jamaica lead six minutes later, Wright would then extend the Jamaica lead to 3 – 0 when he found the back of the net again in the 15th minute.
Two minutes into the second half and Bermuda scored their first goal of the tournament and got themselves back in the match when Jayce Basden scored, but four minutes later Gregory Cousins restored the Jamaica three goal lead when he found the back of the net.
Arnezha Astwood converted from the spot in the 64th minute to pull Bermuda within two, but hey could not get any closer as they went down to Jamaica 4 – 2, thus end the tournament.
