The Thomas Men's Soccer team that features the likes of Jamel Amory, MacQuille Walker, Justin Bell, Zenawi Bowen and Darin Woolridge opened their season with a 2-1 win over Coast Guard at the University of Southern Maine.
Josh Morrissey scored the game-winner in overtime.
The Coast Guard struck first in the 22nd minute on a Greg Burnham goal assisted by Patrick Palermo-Re. That lead would hold until the 89th minute when Bowen found the back of the net off a direct kick.
Morrissey sent Thomas College home victorious with the game-winning goal five minutes into overtime on a goal assisted by Bell.
Jonathan Dutka earned the victory, making two saves on three shots. Dakota Harich was given the loss for Coast Guard after allowing two goals on four shots.
