Nahje Smith, Nasje Brockington and their Independent Schools Football Association (ISFA) teammates went down in a nail-bitter to Shrewsbury Town 3 – 2.
ISFA had the first chance of the match with Josh Scott winning the ball back on the edge of the Shrewsbury box then attempting to chip the goalkeeper only to see the ball hit the top of the crossbar.
Despite this early scare Shrewsbury took the lead following a quick counter attack.
The score remained 1-0 for the rest of the first half.
In the second half again ISFA pressed for an equalizer and their efforts were rewarded when Joe MacDonald's shot was spilled over the line by the Shrewsbury goalkeeper.
However, Shrewsbury scored two quick goals to make the score 3-1.
Jake Raine pulled a goal back for ISFA, finishing an excellent move down the left wing with a low shot that found the bottom left of the goal.
Despite a frantic last 5 minutes ISFA could not find an equalizer and the match finished 3-2.
