IslandStats.com
Over the past 25 years, David Bascome, President of Bascome Enterprise, has impacted the lives of more than 6,500 young local soccer players through the annual Pro Soccer summer clinic, a programme that focuses on soccer skills, self-discipline and the development of positive values that young people can use both on the field of play and in their daily lives.

Kean Driscoll, President of Validus Group and Chief Executive Officer of Validus Re, stated: “Validus is honored to continue its support of David Bascome’s local soccer clinics.” He added, “This will be the 26th year that these clinics have taken place, and the skills that they provide to the players who participate in the program always prove to be immensely helpful to them both on and off the field.”

This year we will be running two clinics, one for females, and one for males. The clinics will be held on 24 – 28 July at the North Field, National Sports Centre for ages 4 through 14 and 4 through 16 for females. The clinic will be run under a Bascome Enterprise new curriculum which focuses on preparing players for the 21st century game. As we move into our 26th year it was important that we continue to strive to be a premium clinic in Bermuda, this year we aim to create better standards, promote player understanding and awareness, and create pathways for players. The Clinic will develop confident learners and have players that are committed to the learning they will receive. Not only have our Aims, Outcomes, Focus, Content broadened, but we have made sure to create a strong Methodology. The sessions will be practical and theory structured. They will produce a greater self-awareness with coaches and players. “The players’ learning environment will involve player instruction, organization of drills and competitive small sided games said David Bascome. Over the years we have been able to build a firm foundation on which the BPro Soccer Clinic has successfully grown. I could not be more pleased with the support we have been getting.”

Application forms for males and females for the 2017 Clinics are now available at the Sportseller: located at the lower level of the Washington Mall or on the www.bascomeenterprise.com website, Global Sports, Soccer clinic/camps section. .
