Diondre Dowling, London Steede-Jackson, Willie Clemons, Rai Sampson and Zeon Robinson all started with MacQuille Walker and Mikal Simmons on the bench
The loss keeps Thomas College winless on the season as they drop to 0-2-1 while Colby College earn their first victory improving to 1-1-1.
Both teams were held scoreless in the first half with Thomas College having a golden opportunity with 2:45 remaining.
Junior Clemons controlled the ball in front of the Colby goal before unleashing a shot that crashed off the crossbar. Thomas held a 6-4 advantage over Colby in shots entering the half.
Colby looked to get on the board in the 51st minute when Jacob Tower headed a crossing pass just off the crossbar and keeping the game even. Tower redeemed himself in the 79th minute when he picked up a loose ball out front. Tower fired a shot off the crossbar and into the goal for the game-winner at 1-0.
Sophomore Jonathan Dutka was given the loss in goal for the Terriers, stopping three shots while Avery Gibson made six saves in the Colby victory.
