Zeiko Lewis’ Boston College teammate sophomore Simon Enstrom scored the match's only goal in the 51st minute, beating the keeper from 30 yards out as they defeated Duke 1 - 0.
The goal was Enstrom’s third goal in the last four matches, meanwhile sophomore Cedric Saladin made five saves in goal to record his third shutout of the season.
Senior Lewis started the attack from the defensive end when he found an open Enstrom, who drove the length of the pitch and blasted in a shot from 30 yards away.
Duke had the first chance of the match just three minutes after the opening whistle. Brandon Williamson found Brian White in the box and his shot was touched by a leaping Saladin. The ball then hit the crossbar and stayed out.
Boston College’s senior Maximilian Schulze-Geisthovel had a couple of quality chances in the first half to score his fifth goal of the season, but a header and a rebound he tried to put back both missed the mark.
Enstrom hit the post in the 82nd minute and then Duke pressed for the equalizer down the stretch but couldn't find it.
Duke had four shots and five corner kicks in the last 15 minutes.
