The second day of play in the 2016 CONCACAF U-15 Girls’ Championship saw the two Bermuda Referees Antoine Augustus and Tashun Simons who were selected as National Assistant Referees to officiate in the Confederation of North, Central America and Caribbean Association Football (CONCACAF) 2016 CONCACAF Under-15 Girls’ Championships take to the field.
The pair were referee assistants to Alexis Vaughan in a match between the Confederation’s traditional powers United States of America and Mexico at the ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex.
In the game of the day, the United States of America coming in off their 22 – 0 win over Trinidad edged Mexico 1 – 0, on Mia Fishel’s goal with 10 minutes remaining in normal time.
Gabrielle Robinson, who scored a tournament record five goals in the victory over T&T, didn’t start, but she entered as a 51st minute substitute.
Bermuda’s Under 15 team enter the Tournament on Day Three.
