Isaiah Taylor and his Richmond International Academic & Soccer Academy (RIASA) East teammates defeated Silsden 3 – 2.
The match was a really tough physical game where RIASA found a way to win a game, which was contested by two even sides although RIASA’s play was far better on the eye than Silsden’s.
RIASA made less mistakes in their own half than they have been doing during previous games, and some of the play going forward was very good.
RIASA scored three terrific goals, courtesy of Dylan White, Jakob Burdett, and Leonard Pauer, and only conceded goals through set plays.
RIASA East Team Manager Greg Abbott said, “We must try harder to not give away free kicks in danger areas.
We had good performances throughout the squad, but as a team we showed real spirit and togetherness.
Leonard Pauer put in a real energetic shift up front and got his reward with a goal near the end.
I was also very pleased with Tyler Williams in goal where his handling and positional play was good.
All round if we can maintain focus in our training we can really progress.”
